AI POLICY

Automation with visible limits.

How CareerGrow’s AI job agent works, what is rule-based, what uses CareerGrow AI, what stays under your control, and how to report a problem.

TWO LAYERS

Know which part is doing the work.

CareerGrow combines deterministic tools with optional CareerGrow AI features. The distinction is shown here and on the pages where each feature appears.

RULE-BASED

Matching and kits

The job agent compares your brief with a curated catalog using visible signals. Draft kits are generated from fields you entered. Neither step invents experience or contacts an employer.

CAREERGROW AI

Coach and resume review

On an active paid plan, CareerGrow AI can answer career-coach messages and review a resume after you explicitly start the review. AI output can be wrong; check important facts.

RULE-BASED

Checks and practice

Job-description checks, resume text checks, interview self-review, and readiness views run on fixed rules and the evidence you record. They are not hiring predictions.

THE JOB AGENT

The agent prepares. You decide.

The agent is a search assistant, not an autonomous applicant. These commitments describe its current behavior.

COMMITMENTS

What the agent does not do

  • No auto-applying, auto-messaging, or contacting employers on your behalf.
  • No claim that sample catalog roles are live or verified openings.
  • No invented achievements, employers, dates, or metrics in drafted kits.
  • No hidden ranking: every match shows its reasons and gaps.
  • No use of AI output as a hiring decision or guarantee.
METERING

Runs, history, and limits

  • Each scan or kit draft counts as one agent run.
  • Free includes 3 runs per day; Pro includes 50; Premium includes 200.
  • Approvals, dismissals, and tracker changes do not use a run.
  • Run history and kit drafts stay in your workspace until you delete them or clear the workspace.
YOUR CONTROLS

No hidden handoff.

You write the brief

The agent only searches with the skills, locations, work modes, salary floor, and seniority you save. Edit or clear them at any time.

You approve every kit

Draft kits sit in an approval inbox. Approving one keeps it in your workspace; it does not send it to an employer or submit an application.

You can dismiss or delete

Dismiss a match or kit, clear an item from your tracker, or delete your workspace from Settings. Deletion removes the saved workspace through the account controls described in the Privacy Policy.

You choose AI features

Rule-based tools work without an AI request. Coach messages, optional page insights, and resume review are separate paid features and stay off until you choose to use them.

LIMITS

What we do not claim.

The feed is a sample

The current job catalog is curated for demonstrating the workflow. It is not a live job board, and availability, pay, and requirements are not verified. Always check the employer’s own posting.

Scores are directional

A fit score reflects overlap with your saved brief. It does not measure your ability, predict interviews, or replace a recruiter’s judgment.

AI can be inaccurate

CareerGrow AI can produce incomplete or incorrect suggestions. Review every generated sentence and keep only what is true for you.

You are responsible for what you send

CareerGrow does not submit applications. If you copy a draft into an employer’s system, you are responsible for its accuracy and for following that employer’s instructions.

DATA AND QUESTIONS

Where to read the details.

Storage, processors, retention, and your data rights are described in the Privacy Policy. Feature-specific data use is described on the page where the feature is offered.
