Question 1

What is CareerGrow for?

Accepted Answer

CareerGrow brings career exploration, skill reflection, flexible planning, and job-search organization together. It is designed to help you choose a useful next step, not prescribe a single career path.

Question 2

Do I need an account to use CareerGrow?

Accepted Answer

Many public tools work without an account. Sign in to save work to your CareerGrow account and use account-backed workspace features.

Question 3

Is CareerGrow free to use?

Accepted Answer

Yes. CareerGrow has a Free plan with useful planning tools and saved-item limits. New self-serve paid subscriptions are available for Pro and Premium; AI Career Coach is included with an active paid plan. Team enquiries can contact support about Enterprise plans. Existing Career Max subscribers keep their current plan and limits.

Question 4

What does AI do in CareerGrow?

Accepted Answer

Optional CareerGrow AI insights supplement results across signed-in dashboard tools. These and the AI Career Coach are available on paid plans, subject to the daily limits shown above. Pro and Premium also include an optional CareerGrow AI resume review, which runs only after you explicitly consent; it uses one of your daily AI tool insights. Core assessments, role guides, job-description checks, resume checklists, and interview practice use transparent built-in rules and your self-review. AI resume writing, interview scoring, live job search, and autonomous applications are not available.

Question 5

Is the job analyzer using an AI model or live job listings?

Accepted Answer

No. It checks text you paste against a bounded set of built-in skill terms. It does not fetch live listings or predict whether you will get a job.

Question 6

Are the skill guides exhaustive?

Accepted Answer

No. They are concise starting points for a small set of roles. The job description checker only looks for vocabulary in those guides and may miss important requirements.

Question 7

How is a readiness estimate calculated?

Accepted Answer

The score uses documented category weights for skills (35%), self-reported experience (20%), project evidence (15%), resume (10%), interview preparation (10%), and target-role setup (10%). Only categories with available evidence contribute to the normalized score. Resume completeness checks for common section labels in your latest draft; interview preparation reflects your self-review checklist, not answer quality.

Question 8

Can I upload a resume?

Accepted Answer

The signed-in dashboard checks text-based PDF and DOCX resumes, with file size and PDF page limits. If you have Pro or Premium, you can also request a CareerGrow AI resume review after explicit consent. CareerGrow does not save the submitted text or the review. Scanned-image OCR and AI rewriting are not supported. You can also save account-backed text drafts.

Question 9

Where is my data stored?

Accepted Answer

Your CareerGrow profile and workspace are saved to your account when account storage is enabled. You can export or clear your CareerGrow workspace from Settings.

Question 10

Will my profile sync to another device?

Accepted Answer

Sign in to the same CareerGrow account to access your saved workspace on another device. Existing browser-only data is not uploaded unless you explicitly import it.

Question 11

How do I remove my information?

Accepted Answer

Export or clear the saved workspace, or delete your CareerGrow account from dashboard settings. Cancel or complete any recurring subscription before deleting the account. Browser-only data and provider backups may remain under their own retention rules.

Question 12

Can I use CareerGrow on a shared computer?

Accepted Answer

Always sign out when you finish. Account-backed pages require authentication, but you should still avoid entering highly sensitive or confidential information.

Question 13

Does CareerGrow provide career or hiring guarantees?

Accepted Answer

No. Readiness is a directional estimate based on saved self-reported and recorded evidence. It does not predict hiring outcomes or guarantee salary, interviews, or employment.

Question 14

What are the Free plan limits?

Accepted Answer

Free includes a career profile and readiness view, one active target role and roadmap, the PDF/DOCX resume checklist, and these saved-work limits: 5 tracked applications, 3 saved job checks, 1 saved resume draft, 5 saved interview reviews, and 1 project plan. CareerGrow AI review, AI tool insights, and AI Career Coach are available only with active paid plans; resume reviews use the plan's daily AI tool insight allowance.

Question 15

How do I subscribe or cancel?

Accepted Answer

Choose monthly or yearly Pro or Premium from Plan & Billing in your signed-in workspace. Enterprise is contact-only; email support@careergrow.app for team enquiries. Our payment partner securely handles new recurring payment authorization. Paid allowances start only after CareerGrow confirms an active subscription. Monthly subscriptions are limited to 120 billing cycles and yearly subscriptions to 10; cancellation stops future renewals, and paid access continues through the end of the current billing period. Older subscriptions may need to be managed directly with the original payment provider; their status is no longer updated in CareerGrow.
